Good British Design

Jamie Josef Fry is a British designer-maker based in the North East of England.

Jamie Josef Fry Studio launched in January 2011. From this base, at Lime Street, deep in the heart of the creative hub of Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley, Jamie works on private/commercial commissions and develops his own range of products.  Jamie focusses on solving design challenges with simple solutions, taking inspiration from nature and long walks along the local coastline, searching for the perfect pebble or piece of driftwood. His work includes the design and making of bespoke products and furniture, as well as  interior and exterior spaces for private and commercial clients.

With projects varying from his now trade-mark shelving and bespoke contemporary furniture designs, to garden and commercial spaces in the UK and design/renovation projects in Greece and Spain, Jamie has established himself as a true all-round designer.

Jamie has exhibited at The Baltic in Newcastle design event, London Tent Design Week and has been selected to exhibit in Brussels at the UK Trade and Investment ‘Best of British’ event in June 2013.

He has enjoyed press coverage in the UK edition of Elle Decoration, Switzerland in Die Weltwoche and in South America, Russian (web) and Spanish editions of Architectural Digest.  The UK’s Living North magazine featured  Jamie in the first of their “Meet the Maker‘ series.
